Life Expectancy Table

Take a look at the life expectancy table used by major insurers. If you want to use it to plan for your retirement, it might be wise to add ten more years as a safeguard.

According to the table, I can live for another 45 years, and my wife will likely outlive me by almost three years.

From The Office of the Insurance Commissioner, Washington State:

Age Nearest Birthday: 31
Male Expectation of Life: 45.27

Age Nearest Birthday: 33
Female Expectation of Life: 47.97
